NEA aims to provide a friendly, approachable and supportive service to all its users. This will include teachers, students, candidates and parents. NEA seeks to do this through the provision of a diverse examination syllabus and through practical and academic support of those teaching, studying and undertaking its syllabus and examinations. NEA seeks to support teachers and students in their uses of the NEA syllabus specifications for assessment. As an awarding body NEA encourages feedback in order to improve and develop all its services. It constantly reviews its procedures, systems and qualifications in order to maintain the highest standards. Information and guidance is always available by contacting the NEA office. Out of hours the Ansaphone is active to collect messages. The Examinations Director manages the Office, and will normally be the person who responds as soon as possible to all initial enquiries by telephone, fax, in writing, e-mail or via the web-site either dealing with them personally or directing them to the right section or member of NEA personnel. The Examinations Director manages all the administration with regard to examination related documentation. The Chief Executive deals with all the financial aspects of NEA; including banking, accounts, fees structure and collection, examiner expenses, etc. A copy of the current Fees Structure is available from the NEA Office by post or e-mail, it is also downloadable from the website. The Chief Examiner runs all NEA examiner training and moderation. The Chief Examiner moderates all reports and marks for accredited grades and also deals with any enquiries with regard to the Syllabus and supplies support and guidance for teachers. A copy of the current Syllabus is available from the NEA Office by post or e-mail, it is also downloadable from the website. NEA seeks to comply with the requirements of the current UK Data Protection Act (1998). Any personal data collected by NEA is used to process and provide services for those using NEA examinations. Records are kept in order that relevant information can be used when necessary. Data collected may include name, address, e-mail address, telephone or fax numbers and personal candidate data. When submitting data, the teacher and candidate agree that this information may be stored by NEA and that NEA may contact them with other information of products and services that may be of interest. If they do not wish to receive such information, they may contact NEA at any time. NEA will not disclose personal data to any other person or organisation unless legally required to do so.
