Marks awarded at this level:
Speech: 20 marks
Communication: 10 marks
Grade 4 (10 Minutes)
Learners should:
- Read at sight a passage of prose and poetry (20 marks)
- Talk about a television programme they have watched. Learners must demonstrate well thought out preparation, and be prepared to discuss the programme in detail (30 marks)
- Discuss with the examiner:
- effective communication
- its importance in our lives (20 marks)
Grade 5 Intermediate Medal (10 Minutes)
Learners should:
- Read at sight a passage of prose and poetry (20 marks)
- Talk about a film or play they have watched
Learners must demonstrate well thought out preparation, and be prepared to discuss the film or play in detail (30 marks) - Discuss with the examiner effective ways in which we can make our speech, clear, vital, colourful and interesting (20 marks)
