Happy New Year everyone!

New Year’s Resolutions have been made, Christmas decorations have been packed away and most of the mince pies have been eaten (we still have about three boxes in our kitchen!), NEA are officially ready for 2024.

We have lots of important information for you in this newsletter, so read on make sure you keep in the loop!

The Big 3 Important Points for all NEA Examiners

1

At NEA, we feel it is important to get results out to teachers as quickly as possible. We also want to make sure that we are one step ahead of any issues with the Post Office.

We are asking all examiners to download the Scanner App: Genius Scan. It’s free and this will enable you to batch scan the reports before you send them, not only enabling the reports to get to HQ quickly, but will also ensure that we have digital copies, in case they go missing in the post.

All hard copies of reports should be sent to Jojo at her address. If anyone needs this, please contact the office.

When the scans have been received by the office, examiners should delete the reports from their app, for GDPR reasons.

2

All examiners have been sent an Examiner Availability Form for you to fill in. This promises to make the booking of exams far more streamlined. Please complete the form and return to exams@neweraacademy.co.uk if you haven’t done so already.

3

Please could all examiners make sure they are putting enough postage/using new barcode stamps?
In the last few weeks, our staff at NEA HQ needed to pay a fee as the stamp did not meet requirements, and then the results could not be delivered until 48hours later.
If you are able to check this, it would ensure that the results process moves swiftly and efficiently.
Thank you

We encourage students to take their time through the syllabus.

If you make your way to the advanced grades too quickly, you may find yourself too young to be entered for these grades. This is one of the reasons that NEA has such an extensive syllabus.

If any teachers are interested in trying a discipline that you and your students have not tried before, please do not be afraid. Our office will be happy to answer any questions, and we can put you in touch with a member of the team who can take you through how to teach this unfamiliar subject. Take time, enjoy the journey, and you might add a new and exciting string to your bow.

Arthur Kipps, an orphan, is an over-worked draper’s assistant at Shalford’s Bazaar, Folkestone, at the turn of the last century. He is a charming but ordinary young man who, along with his fellow apprentices, dreams of a better and more fulfilling world, but he likes his fun, just like any other, except not quite. When Kipps unexpectedly inherits a fortune that propels him into high society, it confuses everything he thought he knew about life.

This exciting new musical is running from 21st. – 23rd March at the Pavilion Theatre, Worthing. Please find show times below.
