Bill Kenwright, CBE (1945 ~ 2023)
It is with great sadness that we acknowledge the passing of both patron and friend to NEA, Bill Kenwright. Bill was enormously supportive of NEA, and he will be greatly missed.
Bill was an influential theatre and film producer, giving a start to many who have gone on to make a huge impact in the business.

The death of Bill Kenwright, my friend for more than 50 years, fills me with the deepest sorrow. We have lost the warmest-hearted and most generous man I ever knew; my best man at my marriage to Miranda, and Patron of New Era Academy, whom I will forever sorely miss his voice on the phone and friendship.
My thoughts are with Jenny and Lucy. My friend, rest in peace.
Training Videos On Their Way!
At NEA, we aim to support new teachers as much as possible when they join NEA, and this support continues throughout your work with us.
We have some short, bitesize training videos coming your way very soon. These will be available on the website, and hopefully answer some questions for new teachers.
Is there anything you’d like the team to focus on when making these videos? Anything that you find daunting when joining NEA? Or anything that you would like more detailed information on? If so, please let us know.
Final Online Exam Before Christmas
With Christmas on the way, make sure you make a date of the last online exam of the year. The online exams are scheduled for every other Thursday at 16:30.
The final online exam before Christmas will be: THURSDAY 14th DECEMBER.

A Festive Treat - Kim Ismay in Elf!
Kim Ismay, member of the NEA Board and one of our trusted examiners, will be starring in Elf The Musical as ‘Debs’ this festive season, from 15th November to 6th January at the Dominion Theatre!

Getting in Touch with New Era Academy
We have become aware that some of our valued partners, teachers and examiners may be using different contact details to get in touch with us.
Please use the office email address (exams@neweraacademy.co.uk) or the office phone number (0330 133 1885) to contact us. These are monitored by members of the team during office hours (9:30am to 5pm, Monday to Friday). The team always aims to respond as quickly as possible, and can fix most issues there and then.
If you use a personal phone number or email address to contact any member or the team, we cannot guarantee that this will be responded to. Please make sure you are contacting NEA via the office email and phone, so that the whole team can be aware of your communication and respond appropriately – no matter who is in the office at a particular time.
We also have a WhatsApp contact listed on the website; this is for examiner and teacher group communications, and does not go through to office staff.
