Welcome to the first “New Era News & Up-Coming Events” – I am Miranda Jacobs LNEA, FNEA, Director of Examinations at New Era Academy and I wanted to share an update with our community of Teachers, Examiners, Students & Parents.
It has been a busy start to the UK academic year for us all, so in this issue we talk about:

New Website for New Era Academy November 2022
We are really excited to launch and share with you a re-vamp of our NEA website, and hope that you like it as much as we do.
We are all emerging from a tough couple of years, so we wanted a new look and feel to showcase our business and share visuals from across our community. Our intention is to be more engaging for our members, teachers and students and more prominent in the space for our examiners and international representatives.
New Era Academy has a huge amount of information available about our syllabus and the various options available to Teachers and Learners. We listened to your feedback that it was quite difficult to find the right information on our exams, and syllabus, so we have re-designed the website to make it easier to move around and find answers to your questions.
There are now several ways to contact the NEA team with clickable buttons to our specific forms, or our phone number and email address. It has never been easier to find what you are looking for and get in touch with the team.
Whether you are just discovering New Era Academy as a regulated awarding body or have been working with us for many years, you will appreciate that as an examinations board we have a very robust, varied and detailed syllabi that cover a broad-range of Communications and Performance disciplines for learners in solo, duologue or group formats.
Loads of useful information available with just a couple of clicks
We have designed the website around the pillars of our different syllabus documents, our examination framework, and fee structures for both in-person and online exams we offer across the UK, Northern Ireland and overseas for our International Representatives.
The information we provide is helpful for Teachers, Learners or Students and their Parents, alike, when crafting your artistic and creative interpretations of your piece as you prepare for specific examination grades. We also have our NEA Members Portal where there are specific materials available for our Teacher and Examiner community members.
New Era Academy offer regulated examinations across the UK, Northern Ireland and to our International Representative countries.

New Era Academy’s Annual Examiner Training Day
– Saturday 7th January’23
We look forward to our annual gathering of NEA’s Examinations Panel to refresh our training, updates on the syllabus and from our regulators and come together as a community to share ideas and experiences. We will also run a mock exam scenario so that we can refresh, learn and moderate our assessments to maintain the high-quality standards the New Era Academy Examiners are well-known for.
This year we will be meeting via Zoom on Saturday 7th January’23 from 10 am to 12 noon.

New 2023-2026 Syllabus Launch

We are finalising the new 2023-2026 NEA Syllabus which we are excited to be launching across our community at our Spring Social & Syllabus Launch events.
There are exciting updates and some extensions of the syllabus, so please join us to hear about the changes and ask your questions. You will hear from both Tina Doyle, Chief Examiner, and Miranda Jacobs, Director of Examinations at New Era Academy.

New Era Academy Spring Socials
– April 2023 – Spread the Word!
The team at New Era Academy are planning several online and in-person socials in April 2023. Dates and locations are under discussion, as we are looking at hosting events online, in London and Belfast in the first half of 2023.
We are looking forward to gathering our community of Teachers, Examiners and supporters – old and new – to meet and reconnect over a bite to eat, drink and lots of chatter and laughter.
Come and have a chat with fellow teachers and examiners or ask your burning questions to the NEA team.
We will be hosting a ‘virtual cuppa and natter’ via Zoom for those in our community who are not able to join one of the in-person get-togethers.
